I’ve spent 22 years waiting tables, and along the way I dabbled in insurance and real estate too. I’ve always worked hard, but honestly? I never really felt like I had a “career.” I was just doing what I had to do to get by and provide.

When the pandemic hit in 2020, I got laid off from restaurants and had to figure out what was next. I went back to school, earned my degree in Business Management, and started working in real estate as an admin and marketing assistant. It paid the bills, but I still felt stuck — trading hours of my life for a paycheck and never really getting ahead.
